In India, Leibniz University Hannover has established scientific collaboration with selected universities, such as Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi), Manipal University and Symbiosis International University (SIU). Leibniz University Hannover is also in a cooperation with IIT Indore, one of the newest Indian Institutes of Technology partnering with TU9 network, in a DAAD funded project under the program „A New Passage to India“ for the period of 2019-2023.
