Foresight in R&D Governance

The rapid pace of technological advancements and the rise of complex global challenges necessitate a forward-looking approach to Research and Development (R&D) governance. Foresight is an essential tool for shaping this and useful for strategic planning, policy formulation, solution design, particularly helping governments and organizations anticipate emerging trends and their implications.

This panel seeks to examine the incorporation of foresight methodologies into R&D governance, based on benchmarking and comparative analysis, responsible innovation metrics, impact assessment and data analytics and machine learning. Some of the focus topics of the discussions are – strengthening strategic planning, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable development.
