This Student Social Entrepreneurship event, hosted by the Center for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CSIE), IIT Madras, and jointly organized with RWTH Aachen University brings together the vibrant student entrepreneurship networks of RWTH and IIT Madras, two of the leading institutions in their respective countries. It is embedded in a 2-week-stay of more than 15 young innovators from Aachen in Chennai.
The event is funded by the DWIH New Delhi.

The two „Sister Universities“, RWTH and IITM are proud to have a variety of socially and environmentally responsible student initiatives emerging out of their campus and thriving in the eco-systems of Aachen and Chennai respectively. The fusion of outstanding student initiatives and start-ups with senior decision-makers from academia and industry promises to unleash an energy that will spark joint activities on both sides. Long-term collaborative formats are likely to emerge and lasting new connections are going to be created.
Due to the pressing challenges of a global environmental crisis, a particular focus will be on technological and entrepreneurial solutions for real-world challenges. Thus, the event will host a variety of initiatives from the fields of energy, e-mobility and engineering as well as biotechnology, the life sciences and chemistry.
