PhD Positions in Earth System Modelling
The International Max Planck Research School on Earth System Modelling (IMPRS-ESM), is a collaborative effort by the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) and Universität Hamburg (UHH). Applicatioins are invited for PhD positions from master’s students (ongoing/ completed) with a background in physics, geophysical sciences, ecology, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or political science.
The interdisciplinary program focuses on :
- Application, evaluation, and development of Earth system models
- Understanding the Earth system’s complexities across various scales
- Integration of physical sciences with economics and social sciences.
Financial support: Roughly 2,000 Euros/month for a period of 3 years
