Postdoctoral Positions in Social Sciences
The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) in Cologne, invites applications from postdoctoral researchers in Social Science for a 2 year postdoctoral contract (doctoral degree not older than three years) in the following areas:
- Political Economy
- Economic Sociology
- Political Economy / Sociology of Low-Carbon Transitions
The Institute focuses on governance of modern societies and encourages development of independent research projects.
Successful candidates for the programme are chosen on the basis of scholarly excellence, research proposal outlining a project to be pursued at the MPIfG, and an interview. The contract (TVöD E 13) starts September 1 or October 1, 2025.
