In the panel discussion experts from India (Dr Aparna Joshi, Assistant Professor, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Prof. Neera Agnimitra, Professor, University of Delhi) and Germany (Dr Heike Pantelmann, Managing Director, Freie Universität Berlin and Ms. Martina Raab-Heck, Head of the Freiburg Intervention Initiative against Domestic Violence )will exchange information on domestic violence against women in their respective cultures, the role of education in empowering women and transforming society’s attitudes towards the inequalities of gender.
Representatives of Freie Universität Berlin, University of Cologne, Max Planck Society and University of Heidelberg will be available to discuss the possibilities to develop innovative functionalities to foster cooperation amongst experts from India and Germany and explore prospects of applying for joint research funding opportunities for this topic.
