The Future of Migration: Issues and Challenges
The symposium will explore key migration drivers, including socio-economic pressures, population growth, environmental stress, climate change, urbanization, political conflicts, and an aging workforce. It will examine their implications and emerging trends in global migration, as well as the role of policymakers in addressing these issues.
The focus will include the international migration of high-skilled professionals using digital trace data, and how migration impacts culture, diversity, and social reconstruction. Additionally, the symposium will address complexities related to migrant labor, care, aging, and inequalities, while highlighting the diverse experiences of individuals and communities and the interconnectedness of these issues.
