AI in Agriculture
Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology has the potential to address a range of challenges throughout the agri-food system. It helps to improve seed quality, maximize crop yields, and reduce risks in agriculture by forecasting pest and disease outbreaks.
This web-talk will discuss new technologies, challenges, and way forward for AI technology in agriculture to achieve the SDG of Zero Hunger. Experts from India and Germany will focus on AI applications in crop and yield management, AI for resource efficiency, and the decision making of farmers.

The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is an international non-profit organization that undertakes scientific research for development. The presentation will focus on case studies from this program.

The Web-Talk Series: Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) runs from 19th July to 21st July 2021. It will explore the role of AI for SDGs – Quality Education, Good Health and Well-Being, and Zero Hunger. Experts from India, Germany, Japan, and Switzerland will present research projects and good practices related to AI in agriculture, healthcare and education. They will address topics such as AI driven personalized treatment, AI in crop improvement, and AI for customized learning.
